Lakers Gaming Makes Roster Moves

Lakers Gaming has acquired Dhwan “ShiftyKaii” White and a second-round pick in the 2025 NBA 2K League Draft from Timberwolves Gaming along with Veron “YooVc” Coates and the 39th overall pick in the 2023 draft from Cavs Legion GC. As part of the transactions, Lakers Gaming sent Ryan “Ryan1of1” Harris and two first-round picks in the 2023 draft (No. 9 and 23) to Hornets Venom GT, a 2025 first-round pick to Timberwolves Gaming and the third overall pick in this year’s draft to NBL Oz Gaming.

Dhwan “ShiftyKaii” White will enter his fifth season in the NBA 2K League as one of the league’s marquee players. The first ever NBA 2K League All-Star Game MVP has had multiple 70 point-games, including 76 and 73-point outings. The shooting guard averaged 24.4 points and 4.3 assists on 46.5 percent shooting from 3-point range in The Tipoff Powered by AT&T last season. The fifth overall pick in the 2020 draft put up strong playoff averages of 22.7 points and 2.7 assists on 69.2 percent shooting from distance last year.

Veron “YooVc” Coates was the third overall pick in the 2021 NBA 2K League Draft. Last season, the 2021 All-Rookie Team honoree averaged 10.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in seven games in The Tipoff Powered by AT&T. During the 2021 season in his first stop with Warriors Gaming Squad, the Queens, N.Y., native was awarded the Quarterfinals MVP after taking down Timberwolves Gaming, posting averages of 18.7 points 11.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists, including a clutch block in a decisive game three to secure the series.

Ryan “Ryan1of1” Harris averaged 22.3 points and 5.3 assists while shooting 43.9 from 3-point range in 3v3 play during the 2023 season for Lakers Gaming. Harris was originally drafted by Lakers Gaming with the third overall pick in the 2023 draft.
