Lakers Gaming Selects Five Players to Fill 2021 Roster

Lakers Gaming today announced five draft selections that were taken in the 2021 NBA 2K League Draft. With the first overall pick, Lakers Gaming selected Arshia “Krazy” Karimi. Lakers Gaming acquired the seventh overall pick from Heat Check Gaming in exchange for Sten “SAV” Valge-Saar and selected Maurice “ReeseDaGod” Delaney to round out their first round.

With the 24th overall pick to open the second round, the team selected Eddy “BOHIO” Perez and followed that up by selecting Jeremy “Seese” Seese with the 38th overall pick in the third round. Lakers Gaming finished off their draft by selecting Bobby “Bobby Buckets” Jones Jr. with the 61st overall pick.

These five players join returning player Wady “Tactuk” Tactuk to complete Lakers Gaming’s roster for the 2021 season.

The 2021 draft pool of  265 draft-eligible players consisted of 175 players who earned eligibility through the NBA 2K League Draft Prospect Series, 22 players from international qualifying events over the last two offseasons, five players from the NBA 2K League’s Women in Gaming initiative, five players who were identified by the NBA 2K League and its teams as high-performing players in the 2K community, and 58 unretained players from the 2020 season.
