Lakers Gaming Announces Hiring of Kris Dellarciprete as Head Coach

EL SEGUNDO – Lakers Gaming has hired Kris Dellarciprete as head coach, it was announced today by General Manger Mathew Makovec.

“We are excited to add Kris Dellarciprete as the head coach of Lakers Gaming,” said Makovec. “Kris has a proven track record of success in the NBA 2K League and has a great understanding of how the league operates. His knowledge of the NBA 2K community and the game itself, along with his business background, will allow us to hit the ground running as we enter our second season in the league.”

“I’ve always known that once my playing career ended, I wanted to pursue coaching and help construct a championship roster with my extensive knowledge and experience in NBA 2K,” said Dellarciprete. “I am so thankful and humbled to be welcomed into the Lakers family, one that is built on character, trust and leadership – all qualities that are extremely important to me in all aspects of life. I can’t wait to get to work.”

Dellarciprete comes to the team after playing two seasons with Pistons GT. Last season, he averaged 12.0 points, 2.1 assists and 1.6 steals in 14 games. He started playing video games competitively with Halo 3 and graduated from Temple University with a degree in marketing.
