Lakers Gaming Selects Kontrul at #5

In the NBA 2K League expansion draft, Lakers Gaming drafted Kontrul at number 5. Kontrul played with Magic Gaming last season and has been noted for his aggressive defense to match with his sharpshooting and playmaking on the offensive side of the court.

Type of player he is:
KontruL: “I’m always going to play with some type of tenacity, whether it’s on offense or defense. I come with a lot of energy. I’m a player that the team can count on to make some clutch shots.”
On the playing style they want to bring to Lakers Gaming:
K: “We definitely want to push the break. We want to put some type of Showtime Lakers into it. I think I’m known as one of the better fast break point guards.”
On what Lakers Gaming means to him:
K: “A fresh start for all three of us. It’s a redemption season. Some people doubt us and we want to go out and prove people wrong. Deep down we know what we’re capable of and we believe we can come together and make some noise next season.”
